GenreRacingModeSingle-player, multiplayerForza Horizon 4 is a 2018 racing video game developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Studios. It was released on 2 October 2018 on Xbox One and Microsoft Windows after being announced at Xbox's E conference. An enhanced version of the game was released on Xbox Series X/S on 10 November 2020. The game is set in a fictionalised representation of areas of Great Britain.
It is the fourth Forza Horizon title and eleventh instalment in the Forza series. The game is noted for its introduction of changing seasons to the series, as well as featuring several content-expanding updates which have included new game modes. However, launch date is truly only the beginning, as developer Playground Games will release its first major content update for Forza Horizon 4 on October 25th. This will introduce the eagerly-awaited Route Creator that will allow players to map-out and design their own custom race event courses.
It will also include a new Horizon Story titled 'British Racing Green,' which will see you get behind the wheel of British automobile legends to help produce episodes of the Horizon Festival's new motoring show. New clothing items and horns will also be introduced with this update that are themed around Halloween, and like every week, there will be even more fresh seasonal content to enjoy like new events, challenges, exclusive cars, and more. The first few hours of Forza Horizon 4 will you walk you through all four of the game's seasons as you experience how they change and evolve the open-world landscapes of beautiful, historic Britain. Following this, you'll be thrusted into the shared world of Horizon Life, where seasons, weather conditions and time-of-day are shared among all 72-players in your session. The season will change every Thursday, introducing new cars, events and challenges to enjoy each time it happens. The first season available to players is Summer before transitioning to Autumn next week.
In addition, the first two rides of the Forza Horizon 4 Car Pass are also now available to players, and these include the 2017 Koenigsegg Agera RS and the 1962 Triumph TR3B. Push the pedal to the metal in the latest entry to Playground Games' open world racing game, Forza Horizon 4 for Xbox One. This time the game takes place in historical Britain, giving you the opportunity to race through the stunning Lake District and power slide across the Scottish Highlands - in a shared world with players from across the globe.
Changing seasons add a whole new element to the game too, as you'll have to adapt your driving style through wind, rain and snow, with new areas opening up depending on the time of year. Plus with over 450 fully-customisable cars, there's all sorts of motors to keep every petrol head happy. The big gimmick for Horizon 4 is the new seasonal system, which sees the environment change every week as the in-game season shifts. In the opening few hours of the game, you'll experience every season in quick succession before getting your Horizon pass and entering the festival proper, at which point the seasons will start changing weekly. Each change brings new seasonal challenges, barn finds , and events that need to be completed before the season changes over again.
It's been autumn for the entire review period, which means, strangely, that it'll take most players a few weeks to experience the game as everyone reviewing it has. Which is a shame, because autumn is lovely, but it'll be spring by the time most players get stuck in, which is perhaps even better. Winter is the harshest season, of course, and the one I'm most looking forward to getting more time with – my brief experience in the opening hours involved a lot of skidding and sliding . Forza Horizon 4 is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2016's breakout hit open world driving game Forza Horizon 3 coming exclusively to Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 2, 2018.

In Super7, players have to complete a series of seven randomly selected stunt challenges for rewards. The Blueprint Builder expands upon the Forza Blueprint feature by allowing players to set up ramps, structures and scenery à la the TrackMania series to create their own challenges and share them with the game's online community. In the following days, a fictional car, known as the 2058 Quadra V-Tech, was included in the game as part of the release of Cyberpunk 2077.
Finally, the Forza Horizon 4 release is important because the franchise' open-world arcade gameplay is a sharp contrast from the serious, professional racing league focus of the main Forza games. Since the Horizon series' introduction, interest in Forza has skyrocketed, and updates like the Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels DLC for Forza Horizon 3 only make gamers love the franchise more. It's fun to explore locations and street race in these titles even if you don't usually like driving games. You need to change your tunings and moods, bringing things to do.
I like cars a lot and I like the idea of multiplayer, and this game is right on the point. You have a lot of cars to modify and tune to your style, a big open world, reminding me of Ivory Tower's games . Those games have the same DNA, but force manages to get a nice feeling and a better progression system. State of Decay 2 is an online open-world zombie survival sim for PC and Xbox One. While completing these tasks alone earns players rewards, they also contribute to weekly and monthly rewards. 50% and 80% completion of both the Series and the current season rewards drivers with an exclusive car or cosmetic item, consisting of the Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary rarity.
The Festival Playlist has continued to be a part of each series since its introduction. As for Halo Infinite…well, the fact that Microsoft still can't give us a definitive 2021 release date for the game certainly raises some alarms. Halo Infinite could very well be delayed to 2022, or Microsoft could decide to release part of it this year and the rest of it next year. If the full package does release this year, the game should prove to be one of the year's biggest titles.
At the very least, Halo Infinite's free-to-play multiplayer mode could move a lot of Xbox Series X consoles this holiday season if it lives up to the hype. In fact, for the first time in recent memory, Xbox actually offered healthy competition to PlayStation in terms of console-exclusive games. There were also some smaller-scale games that could have slipped under the radar, helping to keep the Xbox library diverse in a time when most first-party games seem to be getting larger and larger. 2021 was a year like no other for video games, with players eagerly waiting for a chance to actually purchase the new consoles--now over a year old and still almost impossible to find. Perhaps that's why it's good that Microsoft has stuck to a two-generation release model for most of its first-party games thus far, launching them on Xbox One in addition to Xbox Series X|S and PC.
In most other years, Microsoft-developed Xbox games are few and far between, but 2021 ended up being one of the best years we've ever seen for the platform. Open up your gaming world with an Xbox Live Gold membership. Once you've signed up, you can head online in your favourite games to enjoy awesome multiplayer, or access exclusive discounts on items from the online store every week. However, I had MUCH more fun with Heat than I did with Forza. I played heaps of racing games back in the day and Forza just doesn't pull me in like NFS did.
Forza Horizon 5 is now available to millions of players all over the world, and has quickly established itself as one of the best racing games you can play. The colossal and expertly engineered open-world racing title from Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios is the latest in the Forza Horizon franchise, a series that has been a staple on Xbox consoles for years. Race, stunt, create and explore - choose your own path to become a Horizon Superstar. In December 2019, as part of the Series 17 update, a new 72-player battle royale-style mode called The Eliminator was added. In this mode, players start by driving around the game world in a fairly slow, weak car such as a 1965 Mini Cooper.
As players roam the safe zone, they can acquire car drops that contain more powerful vehicles that randomly appear on the map. Players can also challenge other players to head-to-head races to specific points on the map by pointing their camera at the other's vehicle and honking their horn. Players are eliminated from the event if they drive out of the safe zone or lose a head-to-head race, where the winner of such has the option to drive the opponent's car or receive an upgrade.
Eventually, when the safe zone shrinks to a certain point, the remaining players will then race to one final point on the map to determine the winner. Microsoft stated in 2021 that The Eliminator was the most popular multiplayer mode in the game. In July 2019, as part of the Series 11 update, a special Horizon Story was added in collaboration with BBC's Top Gear. The missions, narrated by presenter Chris Harris, provided players with rewards including the "Track-tor" (a race-modified tractor featured in Series 25 of the show) and the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6. The update also saw the return of class-based Rivals modes from previous games in the series, and the ability to track progress in the Horizon Life menu, as well as several new unlockable cars in the game's Festival Playlist feature. After a questionable previous installment, Forza Motorsport 7 finally perfects its racing game.
Everything is as flawless as those 4K visuals with better AI, improved handling, more substantial collisions - everything you need to make the cars all feel superb. The precision of the controls creates some great moments as you push cars to their limits - screaming around corners on the edge of the tyres grip. It all combines to deliver an experience that's both realistic and fun, as long as you don't mind working for it as some of the progression can be a little demanding as you try to collect cars and win events to get ever further. But, even though there's a hint of grind, this is still one the greatest racers currently available. The best Xbox exclusives are the titles that live only within Microsoft's gaming ecosystem.
That means that it's not really about console exclusives when it comes to Xbox anymore, but rather those games that exist only for those playing within the Xbox family - consoles and PC.
